Regina Fuller-White Ph.D., Gender Specialist

You can’t improve what you don’t measure.

I began my career in international development in 2009 when I managed a year-long research project on gender and African identity across 11 countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. During that year, I met girls and young women who shared with me the stories of triumph, challenges, and inequities. I concluded the project committed to using research and evaluation tools to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment across the world.

Throughout my career, I have seen the power of story telling to uncover gender inequities in the lives of girls and young women, whether in rural village in Northern Ghana or in urban Cambodia. In my work as a gender, youth, and social inclusion specialist, I draw on an intersectional feminist lens to integrate gender analysis across education and global health projects in Africa, Latin America, and Asia. I bring over 8+ years of experience consulting for NGOs, governments, and United Nations institutions.

I believe ethnography and an an attentive ear are integral tools to listening to and working with girls and young women. I am driven by the core feminist belief that empowering girls and young women will lead to sustainable development for all.
